Hope Is A Sentence

Happy New Year!

I approach 2026 for the first time in 3 years with optimism instead of apprehension. No surgeries, treatments, therapy in my foreseeable future and if any turns up this year, I’m ready for it. Right now, I’m trying not to speak any of that into existence.

Cardinals are said to represent loved ones who have passed. I cannot count how many times I’ve seen them in the past few years. When I see them, they are in pairs, male and female. I don’t see it as a coincidence. In my heart, it is divine. My grandparents passed in 2003 and 2005. I see those cardinals as the spirits of my grandparents sent here to tell me to believe there is always hope. I can only say I am thankful to receive their message.
